Accommodation
Volunteers will stay with a host family or in the Blue-Med Africa volunteer hostel or house. Volunteers will either stay in a single or shared room.
Our host families are carefully screened and selected based on Blue-Med requirements. All our host families are middle-class and live in safe neighborhoods.
The distance from the host home to program placement may vary. The program hostel or house, and host homes are spacious, well ventilated with a ceiling fan, and have comfortable beds.
The bathroom contains a shower, toilet, and sink with running cold water. The residences are gated and have electricity, internet/wifi, and running water.
However, the homes do not have washing machines or dryers but you can easily access laundry services in town or hand wash your clothes.
